Feature Announcement: Alien Civilizations

It's been 1 month since the last devlog, and we now have a new feature announcement for you... a feature where players can establish and grow their own alien civilizations on the planets they visit. Alien Civilizations.

Key Elements:

Civilization Management: Use resources from your exploration to construct alien cities, research technologies, and develop unique cultural traits for your civilizations.

Dynamic Growth: The civilization evolves based on player decisions—example, will it become a utopia, a warlike empire, or a high-tech trading hub?

Inter-Civilization Diplomacy: Players' civilizations can interact with NPC or other player-built civilizations, leading to trade agreements, alliances, or conflicts.

Impact of Planet Destruction: As planets face destruction, players must decide whether to save their civilization, relocate them to a new planet, or let them face extinction, adding emotional stakes, affecting your in-game character's emotions.

Alongside this update, we've also retitled the game, from Alien Turrets 1000, to Genesis 1K. It's still a spiritual sequel to Alien Turrets 9, but we felt that it's so much better and goes so far from our Alien Turrets world, that it can't be titled Alien Turrets 10. We also think the new name is better. That being said, if there's ever another Alien Turrets game, and it isn't the sequel to Genesis 1K, it'll be titled Alien Turrets 11, as we do consider this to be Alien Turrets 10. Alright, bye, and we hope you're excited! We previously delayed the game to the end of 2025, but... It's looking like we might be able to get it out by mid-2025. So, with that news, stay tuned, Astronauts!
