Devlog 17: Secret Project Revealed
We have some exciting news to share today. As development on Genesis 1K continues toward its planned Q1 2027 release, the universe is already starting to expand in ways we’ve never attempted before.
Today, we officially announced Wastelight, a standalone game set on one of the planets that will appear in Genesis 1K at launch. This marks the beginning of a new direction for the project: certain planets within Genesis 1K won’t just exist as locations — they’ll grow into full, dedicated games when their worlds call for deeper exploration.
Genesis 1K is all about living, evolving planets, and Wastelight is the first example of how far we want to take that idea. When Genesis 1K launches, players will be able to discover the Wastelight planet in its natural spot within the universe, tying both experiences together in a meaningful way.
Development is ongoing, worlds are being refined weekly, and we’re excited to keep expanding this massive universe with your feedback guiding the way.
Don't worry, this will not slow down development on Genesis 1K. We are working hard to reach that promised Q1 2027 release date. We will release more updates related to Genesis 1K very soon. The galaxy can only get bigger.
